For more than 20 years, I’ve worked across UX, visual design, and front-end development. That range lets me consider an experience from several angles at once, from the clarity of its structure to the smallest detail of its movement.

I led the design and animation for a digital ad campaign promoting TRU Simulation + Training’s military solutions, working closely with a creative team to bring the concept to life. The project included both a static display unit and a motion-driven version built to grab attention quickly and communicate capability at a glance.
The goal was straightforward: highlight advanced training solutions while keeping the message bold, immediate, and easy to absorb in a crowded digital space. Collaborating with the team, we aligned on a clear visual direction that emphasized strength, precision, and clarity from the first frame.
I focused on building a strong visual hierarchy—pairing high-contrast typography with a restrained color palette to ensure the headline carried the message without distraction. For the animated version, I introduced subtle motion to reinforce the “experience in action” concept. Transitions were timed to feel deliberate rather than flashy, guiding the viewer through the message while maintaining a professional, high-stakes tone appropriate for the defense industry.
The final result balances clarity and impact—delivering a clean, modern ad that communicates expertise, builds trust, and encourages engagement without overcomplicating the experience.
